Don't Struggle Alone

Don't Struggle Alone

One man alone, a life he can make
He can climb many mountains
He will make many mistakes
He can walk many miles on the road that he takes
And he must work harder and faster
And not take any breaks

How much better would life be
If he didn't have to walk alone
Had someone to pick him up
When life's trials inevitably come
To make his journey a little easier to bear

Struggling is tough,
an inevitable plight
That we wrestle and tackle with all of our might
And when we think
That we can finally win
We get knocked down and we start over again

Even the wealthy man in his mansion
Or the King on his throne
Suffers much more mightily
When he struggles alone

Every man for himself
Every dog has its day
It's a dog eat dog world
Don't dare stand in my way
These axioms are celebrated
Yet they come with a price
It's lonliest at the top
When you live the solo life

No achievement was made
By one man alone
No building was built
With only one stone
It takes a whole village
To raise a single child
No man is an island
Not even in the wild

To productively struggle is how innovation is made
But to struggle alone
Will send you to an early grave
Tis better to struggle together
Make many minds one
Let's laugh and cry together,
Maybe bask in the sun

Let's rise up and face life's challenges
As they most surely will come
Not separate and not alone
But together as one.
